Modal verb example

1 A friend phones but you're too busy to talk. You ask:
Is is all right if I call you later? I'm really busy at the moment. Sorry

2 A colleague feels ill at work. You have your car with you. You ask:
Can I take you home in my car?

3 You're talking to a friend about a concert you want to go to. She sounds interested so you invite her to it. You ask:
Would you like to come with me?

4. A colleague is going out to get a sandwich for lunch. You ask:
Do you think you could get one for me, please?

5. You really lile one of your friend's CDs. You ask:
Do you think I could borrow this CD for few days, please?

6. A friend wants to visit your home for the first time. He ask:
Can you tell me how to get to your house from the bus stop?

7. You're talking on the phone with the receptionist at the hotel where
you want to stay. You say:
I'd like a double room with a bathroom, please.

8. You're in a restaurant and you notice your glass is dirty. You ask the waiter:
May I have another glass please?

9. A friend has just shown you some photos. You want to see one of them again. You ask:
Could I look at the one of me by the sea again?

10. A friend is visiting when you remember that you have to phone your brother. You ask:
Do you mind if I phone my brother? I have to arrange something with him tonight.
